The Weekend Package
Based on the weekend, but available for any two nights/three days that works for you, our Weekend Package is based on fun and relaxation for a small get-away in the mountains.
PRICING: $129.99 USD - Pricing includes meals, accommodations, excursions, guides and excitement.
Day 1
Arrive at Rancho Wendy and get settled in your rooms. Depending on your arrival time, you'll have time to explore the property, play pool, have a guide show and explain our small mountain town of Los Quemados, set up the volleyball net or just relax. You'll enjoy a home cooked Dominican style supper before we build a bon fire and have a fun night.
Day 2
Wake up for breakfast and get ready for an exciting day. We can arrange the horses and get the group ready for an adventurous 6 hour hike at your own pace to the waterfall Charco Bonito. You'll hike through mountain roads and streams, cross a suspended bamboo bridge, try local fruits fresh from the tree. And when you start to wonder "how much farther" you'll arrive at the gorgeous waterfall to swim, jump and slide. You'll have lunch at the waterfall and there is open space for recreation.
Return to the ranch to get refreshed in the pool, play games and shower for supper. After eating, relax playing pool, dominoes, having a drink or go to the local discothèque for meringue and bachata.

Day 3
Get out of bed for breakfast and put your swimsuit back on for some whitewater kayaking in the Rio Yuna. We'll transport you 15 minutes up the mountain to a small town where the rivers Yuna and Blanco come together. The hour long trip (or longer if you want) along the river combines different levels of rapids and magnificent views. Your guide will help you along the way and may be ready to lead you back up the river to do it again!
Enjoy a hearty lunch before saying good bye and reserving your return trip to Rancho Wendy.

The "Best of Both" Resort Package
For those who want the excitement and opportunity of the rural mountain experience AND the fun of a hotel across from the beach, we've made a package that gives you both. Make reservations at least a month ahead of time.
PRICING: $499.99 USD - Pricing at Rancho Wendy includes meals, accommodations, and excursions. Price of Hotel Koaba only includes room. Hotel includes pool and other amenities.
Day 1
Arrive at Rancho Wendy and get settled in your rooms. Depending on your arrival time, you'll have time to explore the property, play pool, have a guide show and explain our small mountain town of Los Quemados. Have a home-made style Dominican diner and relax the rest of the night or go to the local discothèque.
Day 2
After a hearty breakfast we'll prepare the horses or you can hike to the waterfall Charco Bonito. This 4-6 hour hike will go on mountain trails, crossing streams, over the bamboo bridge, through the rural mountain village and climax with the gorgeous setting of the waterfall. Bring your swimsuit to take a dip and relax. When you're ready to come back, hop in the pool with a drink and get ready for supper. Afterwards, go to the local discothèque or hangout under our pavilion with the pool table.
Day 3
Wake up and have breakfast and, if you're adventurous, we'll take you to the start of our kayak tour for an hour long adventure down the Rio Yuna. When you've had your fill, take the horses or hike on the path to El Chorro. A gorgeous mountain trail past rural mountain homes and crossing the river 14 times. Rest up at the waterfall. You'll be back at the ranch to clean up, have supper and relax at your leisure.
Day 4
After breakfast, our guide will lead you on a hike into the city of Bonao. The attractions can include: a stop at a pineapple field, a small shop where they make ceramic gifts (try your hand on the potters wheel!), the city's main park, the Culture Center for a meringue lesson, an outdoor market, lunch and much more. You'll be back at the ranch to clean up and have supper and enjoy the night with a farewell bonfire.

Day 5 - 7
After breakfast, we'll transport you to fun-in-the-sun in the coastal city of Caberet to stay at Hotel Koaba. We'll help you check-in and then we'll let you enjoy the relaxation and fun of your vacation.

Whales & Adventure Package
Available Dates: January, February & March
This short package gives you a combination of mountain adventure and culminates with an unforgettable experience snorkeling and seeing humpback whales from your boat.
PRICING: $299.99 USD - Pricing includes meals, accommodations, excursions, transportation to Samana, snorkeling and whale tour.
Day 1
Arrive at Rancho Wendy and get settled in your rooms. Depending on your arrival time, you'll have time to explore the property, play pool, have a guide show and explain our small mountain town of Los Quemados. Have a home-made style Dominican diner and relax the rest of the night or go to the local discothèque.
Day 2
Wake up early for breakfast, and afterwards take a one hour kayak down the nearby Rio Yuna. A guide will help along the way while you enjoy a few fun rapids, some time to relax and great views of the surrounding mountains. Come back to the Ranch and start out on the hike to the waterfall Charco Bonito. Take the horses or hike across the bamboo bridge, through the mountain town, have lunch at a small waterfall on the way and then spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and swimming at Charco Bonito. Come back to the Ranch to shower and have supper. Have a bon fire or just relax and prepare for the next day.
Day 3
After breakfast, we'll load up our van and bring you to the hotel in Samana. You'll have time to explore the city and have supper.
Day 4
After breakfast, head onto the boat with your guide and start the search for the humpback whales. You'll have snorkle equipment along to enjoy swimming in the water as well.
When you're finished with the water and have your land legs, continue on your Dominican travels.
