Spanish Immersion
We offer this
program individually as requested or with groups. Contact us with dates or questions and we'll work with you to set up an opportunity that meets your needs. We are not a certified language school but a rural Ranch/Guesthouse looking to give you a
different learning opportunity in an exciting environment.
What is immersion language study? 
It is learning a foreign language the same way we learned English
(or whatever our native language is): by living it. Your time is
spent at our Ranch (their are English speaking visitors around). We
will work to give you a specified amount of time with our local
neighbors speaking and
hearing the language as it is used in real life.
Why should I consider immersion language?
Because you want to learn the language. Because it's fun. Because you can make new friends. Because you can gain an understanding of a different culture. Any or all of the above.
If you are ready for something new and different, then Rancho Wendy will provide an experience of a lifetime.
You will find that you are giving as much back to your local Spanish
instructor as you are learning.
Community Projects:
Tell us if any of these projects interest you during your immersion
experience and we can help facilitate: teaching English in a rural school, cleaning up the community, storytelling to local groups, repairing the school houses, organizing excursions to the art museum and river trekking trips, animal care and awareness (horses), local tour guide development program, creating local guide books, teaching music and songs to local groups, dance exchange events, and volunteering in the rural medical clinics.

Program:
Speak to us about the length of your one-on-one time with one of our
local neighbors. Besides this, you will join our local
Spanish-speaking guides, and possibly other Ranch guests, on any of
our offered excursions.
Cost Includes: All meals, accommodations at Rancho Wendy, activities and programs. *Program costs exclude airfare, transportation to and from airport, and specific excursions. Things You Need to Bring: Back pack, light clothes, walking shoes, water shoes, any musical instrument (no pianos please),
mosquito spray, toiletries. Accessible to you: 24-7 Free Medical Clinic, Internet access (our computers -$3 per hour, your laptop - free), telephone, and grocery store.
Please keep in mind that:
We are not a certified language school. Your "class" time may not be
with a certified teacher.
Our facilities are basic and in a rural town.
You will be staying at our Ranch which has other English-speaking
